Puppy Raising- From Birth to Home

At BrightHaus German Shepherds, we prioritize the early development and well-being of our precious puppies. From the moment they are born, they are given the utmost care and attention in our specially designed whelping box. It is here that they spend their first few weeks with their mother, ensuring they have a warm and clean environment to nurse and grow.

Starting on the third day after birth, our puppies embark on a crucial phase of their early development. They are exposed to Early Neurological Stimulations and Early Scent Introductions (ENS-ESI). These protocols have shown remarkable benefits as evidence suggests that puppies who undergo these experiences are better equipped to handle stress later in life. We believe in giving our puppies the best start possible, and these stimulations contribute significantly to their overall well-being.

Throughout this time, each puppy in our care is closely monitored and weighed on a daily basis. We understand the importance of tracking their progress and ensuring their growth is on track. This helps us identify any potential issues early on and provide any necessary interventions promptly.

As the puppies grow and begin to open their eyes, the weaning process from their mother commences. Simultaneously, they are introduced to a wide range of age-appropriate stimuli on a daily basis. We firmly believe in providing them with enriching experiences that contribute to their socialization and development.
To accomplish this, we employ a variety of methods to stimulate their senses and expose them to new situations. These include introducing them to different noises, an adventure box to pique their curiosity, socializing with new dogs, adults, and children, crate training, short car rides, exploring various surfaces, introducing them to different scents, providing toys for mental and physical stimulation, gently acclimating them to nail dremeling, introducing them to the bathing routine, and sound stimulation.

To assess the temperament of each puppy, we conduct the Volhard Puppy Aptitude test when they are approximately 7 weeks old. This test is performed by an unbiased observer and helps provide valuable insights into the individual dimensions of their temperament. This information can be predictive in understanding each puppy's potential future behavior and compatibility with different lifestyles.

At BrightHaus German Shepherds, we are committed to raising well-rounded and socialized puppies. We believe that early exposure to various stimuli and thorough temperament assessments contribute to the overall success and happiness of our puppies and their future owner's satisfaction. Professional Placement Process at BrightHaus German ShepherdsAt BrightHaus German Shepherds, we take great pride in our professional approach to puppy placement. Our goal is to ensure that each owner is matched with the most suitable puppy based on their individual goals and preferences. We work diligently to keep our puppy owners well-informed and involved throughout the early developmental stages of their new companions.
Our placement process begins with a thorough understanding of the owner's specific requirements, expectations, and objectives. Whether you're looking for a devoted family pet, a potential working dog, or a competitive show dog, our team is dedicated to finding the perfect match for you.
We believe that the key to a successful placement is carefully assessing the temperament, personality traits, and potential of each puppy in our program. Our experienced team evaluates various factors, including temperament testing, energy levels, behavior analysis, and overall health, to make sure that we can make the best decisions for both the puppy and the owner.
Once a puppy has been identified as a suitable match, we keep the owner involved and updated on the puppy's progress right from the start. We understand the importance of early developmental updates and actively encourage owners to participate in this process. We believe that this involvement helps foster a strong bond between the owner and the puppy, promoting a smooth transition and a happy future together.
Throughout the early developmental stages, we keep our puppy owners informed about important milestones, training progress, and any notable accomplishments. Regular updates, including photos and videos, are provided to ensure that the owners feel connected and involved in their puppy's growth.
We also offer resources and guidance to our puppy owners, including information on training, socialization, and healthcare. Our team is always available to answer any questions or concerns that arise during this crucial period.
At BrightHaus German Shepherds, we are committed to providing a professional, personalized, and transparent process for puppy placement. We believe that by carefully matching owners with the most suitable puppy and keeping them involved in the early developmental updates, we can contribute to building lasting and fulfilling relationships between our puppies and their new families.
